Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

We formally test the accessibility of key user journeys that represent the breadth of content across our website on a regular basis against WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

If you find something that does not work that we missed, remember to contact us.

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reason(s):

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

This section covers issues that we need to fix and are working to do so.

Images, Video and Media (WCAG: 1.1.1)

Some images on the website do not have a text alternative, so people using a screen reader cannot access the information.

We are working with Learning Pool to fix this issue by December 2022.

Colour Contrast (WCAG 1.4.3)

Some elements of text do not meet the minimum colour contrast requirement of 4.5:1.

We are working with Learning Pool to fix this issue by December 2022.

Visible Focus (WCAG 2.4.7)

The Terms and Conditions “Accept and Continue” button does not have a visible focus indicator.

We are working with Learning Pool to fix this issue by December 2022.

Reflow (WCAG 1.4.10)

When pages are magnified to 400%, the menu bar covers a large section of the page, making it difficult to read the main contents of a page. On the dashboard page there is a button to add a playlist which covers a large section of the main content of a page.

When a text spacing script is applied, the box containing information about the course does not reflow, causing horizontal scrolling to be present.

We are working with Learning Pool to fix this issue by December 2022.

Keyboard Accessible (WCAG 2.1.1)

When pages are magnified to 400%, it is not possible to access the search button opt in when using a keyboard exclusively to navigate.

When a section of the course is opened, the buttons on the main page remain accessible, making it difficult to tab to the buttons within the pop-out window

We are working with Learning Pool to fix this issue by December 2022.

Use of Colour (WCAG 1.4.1)

On the Dashboard, the “View All” link is not underlined, meaning there is no visual cue for the link.

We are working with Learning Pool to fix this issue by December 2022.

Meaningful Sequence (WCAG 1.3.2)

On the Dashboard, when using a screen reader, there is a heading “Courses” which cannot be seen when the CSS styling is enabled.

We are working with Learning Pool to fix this issue by December 2022.

Name, Role, Value (WCAG 4.1.2)

The calendar buttons do not have labels assigned that are visible for screen readers.

Within the iframes, there is an aria-live attribute with the value “busy” – an invalid value.

iframes do not have accessible titles or aria-label.

We are working with Learning Pool to fix this issue by December 2022.

Name, Role, Value (WCAG 4.1.2)

The calendar buttons do not have labels assigned that are visible for screen readers.

We are working with Learning Pool to fix this issue by December 2022.

Disproportionate burden

Not applicable.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

This section covers issues that we do not need to fix right now.

Documents and PDFs

The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23rd September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services.

We will be ensuring that any newly published content is accessible and are working to either fix accessibility issues with existing documents that have been published since 23rd September 2018 or provide an accessible alternative.

Videos

The accessibility regulations do not apply to video content published before 23rd September 2020.

All video content published from 23rd September 2020 will meet accessibility requirements and we are working to make older video content accessible where possible.
